Doug Walker ~ President

Doug brings over 30 years construction industry experience to the S2 Industrial team. Coming up through the piping trades he understands mechanical construction from the inside-out. His willingness to travel (and desire to feed his family) when Northwest construction jobs were scarce in the late 70's and 80's enabled him build a resume of experience rivaled by few in the industry. The knowledge, leadership skills, and work ethic honed from power plants in Utah , California oil refineries, paper mills in Minnesota , to the North Slope of Alaska catapulted him to supervisory positions with Northwest based mechanical contractors in the 1990's. After purchasing S2 Industrial from a friend and former employer in 1999 Doug has steadily grown the company and built a team of individuals that emulate his same core values.

Darrell Johnson ~ Vice President/Project Manager

Darrell's path through the mechanical construction industry couldn't be any different than Doug's. While Doug came up through the trades, Darrell's experience has been garnered through the management side of the business. He is a graduate of Washington State University's Construction Management Program. Previously employed by one of the largest mechanical contractors in the country for 11 years, he seized the opportunity to join the S2 Industrial team in 2003. Of all the factors that led him to S2 Industrial, the key was his history, friendship, and working relationship with company president Doug Walker. A successful project history with their former employer, based on their ability to provide complimenting team strengths, has continued beneficial in their partnership at S2.

In the years following his steamfitter apprenticeship Brock has rapidly progressed to the General Foreman level with S2 Industrial. His attention to safety, ability to efficiently manage large crews, and establish successful relationships with our clients are factors in his rapid progression in the trade. His experience with S2 includes supervisory roles in hi-tech, food processing, pulp and paper, medical facility, and educational projects.

Chad has over 11 years of field experience in industries including semiconductor, pulp and paper, and healthcare. He is an accomplished project supervisor and, when needed and available, fills a role in our estimating department as well.

Ed has over 18 years of field and craft supervisory experience in the mechanical construction industry. His experience includes projects in semiconductor, healthcare, pulp and paper, metals, and petrochemical markets. Ed's success with S2 Industrial is attributed to his unmatchable work ethic, attention to safety, and ability to create repeat customers.
